Like a lighthouse that makes an unseen coastline visible, therapy can illuminate patterns, feelings and meanings that can otherwise feel confusing or overwhelming.

Inspired by Freud’s image of the mind as an ocean- where the conscious mind is the light and the unconscious the depths-I work with you to map what’s beneath the surface and find steady ways forward.

My practice is person-centred, relational and integrative: you, your relationships and your lived experience are central.

Therapeutic support will help you navigate difficult moments and rediscover your strengths.

I tailor evidence-based approaches to fit your needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, trauma, grief, low mood, relationship difficulties or a general sense of being stuck, I provide a confidential, non-judgemental space to explore, heal and build resilience. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’m here to listen and to help you design a practical plan for change.

My practice is neuroaffirmative, and I specialise in working with neurodivergence- in particular Autism, ADHD, and AuDHD.

Get to Know Me

To make a difference- this desire led me to develop my career in teaching children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, with a specialism in ADHD.

As my career advanced, I also grew passionate about working with Autism and SEND in Early Years. This broad experience and training prompted me to progress to a senior leadership role at the corporate level, where I specialised in conducting assessments for SEND and managing the most complex educational cases. Even though it involved mediation, conflict resolution, and educational tribunal work, parents truly appreciated my listening and non-judgmental approach. People would open up and say they felt comforted and listened to when talking to me. This feedback encouraged me to explore those skills further and to train in psychotherapy and counselling. I founded Lighthouse Therapy, a practice rooted in compassion, curiosity, and practical support.

Over the years, I’ve collected lighthouses-small symbols of hope and steady guidance-and that image influences how I work: calm, dependable, and grounded in the belief that even in the darkest weather, you can find a way through.

I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where we’ll explore what’s blocking you, identify the strengths you already possess, and develop tools tailored to your life. I don’t give answers; I help you find them-and practice new ways of being that feel achievable and empowering.

Wherever you are on your journey, I’ll meet you there and support you in moving forward with clarity and confidence.

If that sounds like the support you need, let’s take the next step together.

Client C

"Paulina is a brilliant counsellor. I started my sessions with her last year when I was struggling with anxiety. She helped me find the roots of my problems and worked on coping strategies with me to give me some tools to help manage them. Paulina is a kind-natured person, and I always felt like she understood and really cared about my problems. I definitely recommend talking to her if you are struggling!"

Client M

"Just finished my sessions with Paulina. Quickly felt comfortable with her and was never any doubts that working together would be beneficial. Always had time for me in and out of sessions if needed. If you are local I would 100% recommend talking to her if you are struggling and looking for a therapist. Can’t thank her enough for the last 15 weeks.

Client S

"Paulina is an excellent Counsellor. I have first-hand experience of counselling with Paulina, and I have come a long way because of her. She supported me, gave me tools to use while in sessions and that I still use now. Paulina worked at my pace and there was never any pressure. I can’t thank her enough."
